Solar Incentives
With the passage of Amendment 37 in Colorado in 2004, most local utility companies offer substantial incentives for installing an on-site solar electric system (photovoltaic or PV). Additionally, there are federal tax credits in place for both PV and solar thermal (hot water) systems. The Center for Resource Conservation's "The Skinny on Amendment 37 for Solar Electricity"" has detailed information on incentives for installing a solar system in Boulder County. Most local solar contractors are well-versed about which incentives will apply to your specific situation. To find a local solar contractor, visit www.coseia.org
